About

Hello! My name is Katie, I'm a Brooklyn-based queer data science manager with an insatiable curiosity. I currently lead a team of Data Scientists at a data science software company, Dataiku, and mentor aspiring data scientists on the side.

In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, rock climbing, comedy shows, discovering new music, and learning about and investing in the crypto space.

Work

I lead a team of Data Scientists at Dataiku, a leading AI software company that develops a collaborative end-to-end data science platform (DSS). My team focuses on enabling our customers to integrate AI into their businesses through coaching and co-development of machine learning projects using DSS.

Outside of my Data Science role, I also co-founded Dataiku's queer ERG which now has over 50 members of LGBTQIA+ identifying employees and allies.

Teaching

I've always been passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge. I spent many years in and after college volunteering to build SAT prep programs for students in various underserved communities throughout New York and Connecticut, through Let's Get Ready and New York Cares.

Today, outside of my day-to-day role, I mentor aspiring data scientists through a program called Sharpest Minds, in order to help others break into the field.
